Our Doctor...

Dr. Mary Johnson has been a licensed, practicing veterinarian since 1990. She holds a license in both Arkansas and Missouri. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association.

Raised on a farm near St. Louis, MO., Dr. Johnson has had a love for animals from a very early age. Though formerly a practicing large and small animal veterinarian in Benton, AR., Dr. Johnson now devotes her North Little Rock practice exclusively to small animal canine and feline. Dr. Johnson is experienced in all aspects of veterinary treatment and surgery with an additional interest in diagnosis and treatment of behavioral issues and problems.

With the veterinary field constantly changing and improving its technologies and treatment protocols, Dr. Johnson regularly attends advanced education forums to keep pace with the new products and services available to the veterinary industry. As an example, the clinic now offers a new technology (laser therapy) which aids in the treatment of arthritis and other medical conditions.

Dr. Johnson’s clients and their pets always receive a thorough, comprehensive visit whenever they bring in their pets. Appointments are scheduled to allow plenty of time for diagnosis, discussing treatment options etc. Communication with clients about their pets is one of her many assets, a quality her clients always count on and enjoy. If for some reason a client is not able to bring in their pet she is more than happy to speak with them on the phone to see what the owner may be able to do until their visit. (Dr. Johnson is one doctor who always returns phone calls). Clients are never an interruption of her day, they are the purpose of it.
